In the May 5th broadcasting of YHY’s Sketchbook, hip-hop musicians Tiger JK, Bizzy, and t (Yoonmirae) performed ‘Get It In‘ and ‘Monster‘.

[VIDEO] SBS Gayo Daejun Hip-Hop Special Stage (Gary, Gaeko, Choiza, Yoonmirae, Taecyeon, Mir, Hoya, Junhyung)

On New Years Eve, SBS ‘Gayo Daejun’ held a special hip-hop special stage featuring hip-hop artists Leessang‘s Gary, Dynamic Duo‘s Gaeko and Choiza, and Yoonmirae.

The first track ‘Chulchek‘ (by Dynamic Duo) was performed by K-pop idols Taecyeon, Mir, Hoya, and Junhyung. The next song ‘Rush’ (by Leessang) was performed by Leessang‘s Gary, who was later joined by Dynamic Duo‘s Gaeko and Choiza during the third song ‘Fireworks‘ (by Dynamic Duo).  Finally, the last two tracks ‘Get It In‘ (by Yoonmirae) and ‘Monster‘ (by Drunken Tiger) was performed by Yoonmirae, who dominated the entire stage with her piercing charisma.

It’s interesting and mentally relieving to be able to, through this mega-collaborative performance, clearly see the distinction between an idol rapper and a hip-hop artist.  As ROK Hip Hop author LimDrill expressed, “…although these idols on stage seemingly have the tone, gesture and vocalization, they are not rappers, but rather ‘rap performers’.  I couldn’t agree more!
